What to Wear with a White Backdrop?

One of my FAVORITE looks is to choose white/very light colors to wear in front of a white/light-colored backdrop.

WHY???

It helps your body blend in with the backdrop and lets your FACE really shine as the warmest, most vibrant part of the photo.

This helps your skin tones look vibrant and fresh, and lets the most expressive part of you-- your face-- be the main focus of the photo.

Another option, is to choose a color that really brings out the color of your EYES. (In this example, the white parts of this little guy's shirt blend in with the backdrop and help the BLUE stripes really stand out, which then also draws attention to the color of his eyes, as the only other cool-colored part of the photo.)

And one final option, your outfit and its colors can also be a means of communicating who you are and what your personality is.

Consider:

WHO is your target audience? Who will be seeing your headshots?

WHAT do you want them to know about you the instant they see your photo?

Choose your outfit and your colors accordingly.

The VERY most important part of your decision is to choose something YOU feel GREAT in. Your confidence will shine in your photos!
